I realized that I never made an introductory post! Without further ado:
A new era begins in 2025. S-Class Detailing is a fully-licensed, insured, and committed eco-friendly mobile service that adheres to 21st-century best practices and emerging technology, which both keeps total costs down and demonstrates our solemn pledge towards excellence. We use the latest innovations in electronic gadgetry, such as the use of battery inverter banks as opposed to traditional, noisy, pungent gasoline generators. Battery banks generate neither noise nor emission, but are just one part of further ensuring our dedication to the 3 Cs: Customer, Climate & Cleanliness.
I am Cody, and I am originally from Flemington, New Jersey. My family and I moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania in 2002 and have spent most of that time in the Back Mountain area. I married my lovely wife in August 2023 at Niagara Falls. We bought our first house together last year, and are looking forward to continuing our story. I am huge into cars and racing of course, but also geography, technology, and language (fluent in Spanish). My passion for detailing is one borne of a desire for things to be kept clean and orderly, which enables one to set aside all potential distractions and focus on speed and performance, just as it is in motorsport.
My background is diverse, having worked in Sales Management, IT, and Education. I have witnessed various business sectors and how they function. With a natural curiosity, I set out to learn how "everything" works and why it does, from a young age. Books were placed into my hands very early on, and the combination of Windows 95 plus the auspiciousness of home Internet set me on a path of an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. This has not let up to this day, being an avid reader of all things nonfiction.
My father got me into motorsports and it comprises many of my earliest memories. Michael Schumacher intentionally crashing into the side of Damon Hill but taking himself out of the race instead. Kurt Busch and Ricky Craven fighting for the win in Darlington across the line. John Andretti spinning out multiple times and still winning in Martinsville. So many good races. I will talk to anybody, anytime, about Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, MotoGP, etc. For those who want to know, I am a fan of Mercedes-AMG F1, Joe Gibbs Racing, Andretti Global, and Monster Energy Yamaha.
I also learned how to keep spaces spotless thanks to my father, but I also noticed in my travels a distinct lack of cleanliness, organization, and order. Everywhere I have been, I have improved functions and made others aware of the risks that come along with not properly maintaining your area. I decided to start my own detailing business because of things I saw happening, and not happening. Many detailers in this area rely on technology and practices that have not changed since the 70s. We, however, use portable solar panels, cordless pressure washers, and other emerging green tech. NEPA desperately needed to be brought into the 21st century, and that is the role that S-Class Detailing intends to fill. Moreover, I hope that we can be an inspiration to our competitors--there is something for everybody to learn. Passion is contagious. Maybe that is just the teacher in me.
A plethora of chemicals are readily available for use in the auto detailing industry, as new formulations are released with rigorous regularity. S-Class Detailing, however, knows and understands that just because something is available for consumption, doesn't mean that it should always be used. With that said, our products are sourced solely from The United States. As somebody with sensitive allergies and a concern for overall health, my promise is to only use chemicals when absolutely necessary, particularly for interiors. In fact, by not opting for complete chemical coverage, this makes for a safer and cleaner space. Steam cleaners are a perfect example of this. They clean and sanitize various surfaces in a much safer manner, and guarantee nonproliferation of contaminants such as bacteria and mildew. You, your family, and your pets will appreciate the deep clean look and feel, without the pervasive scent of chemicals often found in sterile laboratories.
The average car wash uses around 110 gallons of water per vehicle. S-Class Detailing emphasizes water conservation by utilizing up-to-date best practices and products that offer something known as rinseless washing. Although not completely free from water usage, this practice drastically reduces usage compared to the methods of old. Modern rinseless washing products end up using around 3 gallons per vehicle. This represents a ludicrous 97.3% reduction over the traditional wash, sans compromise.
My heart drops whenever I drive past one of the many new car washes in our area and see vehicles wrapped around the wash bay, waiting for their turn. They have good intentions. They just want to keep their cars clean and free from industrial fallout and road salts. The only problem is that one will be using the same brushes and rollers that all of the preceding vehicles were just touched with. Some of them might even be really dirty, having the look of just getting back from off-roading. Those bits of stone, dirt, and other debris get lodged in the car wash's aforementioned brushes and rollers and are subsequently used on the next vehicles through. Without realizing it, they just scratched and swirled their paint and bodywork. Sure, their car may be clean from the exorbitant amount of water and soap used, but a cursory look at the exterior will reveal the damage that has been done. Our exterior washes are 100% performed by an educated and guided hand, thereby eliminating the chance of damage often inflicted by those "slap and scratch" car wash setups. Perhaps it is a good thing that they cannot reach the interior, yet.
Apart from looking nicer, did you know that proper maintenance of a cleaner space makes for a safer and more comfortable driving experience? Do it more for yourself and those in your life, knowing that respiratory health remains a top priority for S-Class Detailing. No loose items such as a water bottle rolling around the interior while operating a vehicle ensures optimal driving conditions and personal safety. I am happy to educate customers on what they can do in order to maintain a safe and healthy driving experience.
Anybody that knows me will tell you how upbeat and energetic I am. I have a passion for life, meeting others, and making things clean. It drives me. And I am going to channel my vigor into ensuring that your vehicle is the cleanest (and safest!) it can possibly be.
