💡 Backyard Tip: 5 Simple Ways to Make Your Yard Less Attractive to Ticks 🌿

Ticks thrive in cool, shady, damp areas — but a few simple changes can help make your yard a less inviting place for them.

✅ Keep grass trimmed — Shorter grass gives ticks fewer places to hide.
✅ Remove leaf piles & yard debris — Ticks love moist, protected areas.
✅ Create a barrier — Keep wood piles, mulch, and dense vegetation away from play areas.
✅ Maintain a tidy yard — Trim shrubs and clear overgrown areas where ticks and wildlife may travel.
✅ Treat outdoor spaces regularly — A proactive approach helps reduce tick populations where your family and pets spend time.

A healthier yard means more time enjoying the outdoors and less time worrying about what’s hiding in it. 🌱

🐾🌿 Your family deserves a yard that's protected—not off-limits.

Traditional chemical treatments often leave homeowners weighing effective tick control against concerns about what is being applied where their children and pets play. Tick Killz offers a naturally derived alternative that effectively controls ticks while drying in about an hour, so your yard can get back to being a place for fetch, family time, and outdoor fun.

Because protecting your loved ones means protecting them from both tick-borne illnesses and unnecessary exposure to harsh chemicals.

🕷️ Know where ticks hide before they find you.

Ticks thrive in cool, shaded areas around your property, including:
🌿 Mulch beds
🌳 Shrubs and ornamental plants
🌲 Woodlines and tree lines
🌾 Tall grass and overgrown vegetation

Use Tick Killz to target these high-risk areas and efficiently eliminate ticks where they live and hide. Leave harsh chemicals behind and choose naturally derived protection that helps keep your family, pets, and outdoor spaces safer.

Apply with our convenient hose-end attachment for fast, easy coverage, or follow the Tick Killz label instructions for use with backpack sprayers, mist blowers, and other application equipment.

Why do we use cedarwood oil in Tick Killz?

Because protecting your family, pets, and yard shouldn't have to come at the expense of the environment.

Cedarwood oil is a plant-derived ingredient that helps control and repel ticks and other nuisance insects without relying on traditional chemical pesticides. That means you can treat the areas where ticks hide — lawns, shrubs, mulch beds, and wood lines — while choosing a solution with a safer environmental profile.

The natural approach isn't about sacrificing effectiveness. It's about finding a smarter balance between protecting the people and pets you love and reducing unnecessary chemical exposure in the places where you live, play, and make memories.

Nature gave us a powerful tool. We simply put it to work. 🌲🐾🌎

🚨 Ticks are on the move... and they're spreading into more parts of the U.S.

A newly released map highlights just how much tick activity is expanding, with the Northeast and Midwest seeing some of the highest increases in blacklegged (deer) tick populations. At the same time, the CDC reports emergency room visits for tick bites are at their highest levels for this time of year since 2017.

This isn't just about more ticks—it's about increased exposure to diseases like Lyme disease and other serious tick-borne illnesses.

✔️ Treat your yard.
✔️ Stay on trails when possible.
✔️ Check yourself, your kids, and your pets after spending time outdoors.

Staying vigilant now can help prevent a tick bite from becoming something much more serious.

Emergency room visits for tick bites have climbed to the highest levels for this time of year since 2017.

🚨 Tick activity is surging across the U.S. this year. 🚨

Health experts are seeing some of the highest rates of tick bites in nearly a decade, with emergency room visits for tick bites reaching levels not seen since 2017. In April alone, ER visits for tick bites were more than 50% higher than the same time last year, a sign that tick season is starting earlier and hitting harder than ever.

That's concerning because it only takes one bite from an infected tick to transmit illnesses such as Lyme disease, Powassan virus, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever.

Don't assume ticks are only found deep in the woods—they're commonly picked up in backyards, neighborhood parks, and along the edges of lawns.

✔️ Reduce tick habitat around your property.
✔️ Check yourself, your children, and your pets after spending time outdoors.
✔️ Remove attached ticks as soon as possible.

Awareness and prevention are your best defense this tick season.
