Air Vent Cleaning



Air vents pick up a lot of grime throughout your home. 🤢
Cleaning your air vents can be done by spraying the surface with a cleaning solution of your choice.
You will need a dull kitchen knife, wrap it up with a clean microfiber towel. 🧻
Using the knife as a tool to get in between each slot, begin cleaning away. 🍴
Start from the top and move towards the bottom.
Your towel will collect all the dust and dirt as you wipe.
Having a small water and soap bucket near you is beneficial for when your towel is caked with all that you wipe away. 🚰
Wring your towel out when this occurs and start again.

Cleaning Ceiling Fans! ✨

Did you know that dirty fan blades and motors work less effectively and need to be dusted and cleaned regularly.😱

After a few months, the dust bunnies began to form colonies. Once moisture becomes a factor, the dust bunny community becomes visible to the naked eye. 🐰👀

Here are a few ways you can clean your ceiling fans in your home.

1. Pillowcase 😴

Throw a pillowcase over the blade and pull the pillowcase towards the edge of the blade collecting every member of the dust bunny community. The pillowcase will also collect the dust so that it doesn't fall to the floor. This technique is good for ceiling fans that receive regular cleanings and the dust hasn't sat there for too long.

2. Swifter

A swifter is an effective tool to remove dust from your ceiling fans too. Most Swifters come with adjustable height pieces. If you do not have one that adjusts, you may use a step ladder.
Cover or remove all items from the area you are cleaning to prevent dust landing on it. Bring each blade towards you to clean, (the less moving of your ladder, the better) the dust will fall towards one area of the floor.

3. Bucket of water & cloth🧽

Grab a bucket of warm water, add a cleaning solution of your choice (liquid fabric softener, Endust, etc) and a microfiber towel. Start with one blade closest to you and over the area you want the dust to fall to. Begin from the back of the blade and wipe towards the edge.

After cleaning your ceiling fans. sweep/vacuum under. 🧹
