I’d like to caveat this post with: I am a small business owner and I am in business to make money….BUT, I am a human being and Christian First.
I received an inquiry about a house wash. I explained to the lady that I could not give her an accurate quote, without going out and inspecting the house. She was very gracious, and completely understood. I drove out, took a look at the house, and prepared a quote. I called her this morning and started talking to her. And what she told me really upset me and made me sick to my stomach.
She called another company last year to come out and give her a quote for the exact same wash that I’m doing. They quoted her almost $2500 for an 1800 square-foot home. There is no doubt they were taking advantage of the fact that she was an older lady, and that her husband had passed away and was not there to protect her. When I gave her my quote this morning, she immediately began to cry. When I asked her if my quote was too high, she said “no, absolutely not. I’m crying because there are still good. People left in the world.”
