The Crandon Water & Sewer Utility is accepting applications for one full-time position for a utility operator. Including, but not limited to maintenance and operations of Wells, wastewater treatment plant, lift stations, collection system, and distribute system. 
• Wisconsin DNR water/wastewater certifications D, G, A1, B, C, N, SS. A Wisconsin CDL, maintenance ability and equipment experience is a plus, but not required.
• Crandon Water & Sewer Utility provides a competitive benefit package and will cover the cost of training associated with a necessary certifications.
• Starting pay is $27 per hour or more depending on qualifications. With each DNR certification obtained operators can receive a wage increase.

On Monday, August 25, 2025 the Crandon Water And Sewer Utility will begin flushing fire hydrants. Flushing will continue through Friday, August 29, 2025 and will be conducted between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE A DIP IN WATER PRESSURE AS WELL AS SOME DISCOLORATION OF THE WATER DURING THIS PROCESS. The discoloration of water is only temporary and does not indicate a problem with the water. If your water does become discolored, turn on the outside faucet to clear the water line before doing laundry or cleaning. The Crandon Water And Sewer Utility will continue to monitor the water quality during this period to ensure that the water remains safe to drink. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but flushing is an important part of our system maintenance. • Starting pay is $21.60 to $24.81 depending on qualifications.

We sent 10 day disconnect letters out today. If you haven’t paid your bill, yours will be in the mail. Disconnection day will be November 21. Call if you need to set up a deferred payment agreement.

Third quarter bills went in the mail today! Watch for them this week! If you opted for email billing, they were sent to your email today.

The 2nd Quarter bills went out today. If your bill goes through the postal service look for them next week in your mailbox.
Those of you that use our email billing you should have gotten it today. The due date is 7/22/24.

10 day disconnection notices went in the mail today. If you haven’t paid your water and sewer bill yet you will be getting one. Disconnection date is November 28 at noon. If you have any issues paying your bill, please call us at the utility we will be happy to set up a payment plan.
