One of our recent projects is finally complete!

Like many projects, this one had a few unexpected challenges along the way. Delays in parts pushed the timeline back several weeks, but seeing the finished result made it worth the wait.

After the pool was plastered, we discovered that several return fittings had been plastered over and one fitting had been damaged during the plaster process. While this wasn’t work performed by Aqua Medic, the homeowner called us to help.

We repaired the damaged fitting, cleared the plaster from the returns, and got everything up and running the way it should be.

At Aqua Medic, we believe the job isn’t finished until the customer can enjoy their pool. Whether it’s our work or helping solve unexpected issues, we’re committed to making sure things are done right.

Did you know? Backwashing your sand filter isn’t the last step.

Always finish with a RINSE cycle before returning to FILTER.

Backwashing removes dirt and debris by reversing the flow of water through your filter. Before switching back to FILTER, run the system on RINSE for 20–30 seconds.

Why it matters:
✅ Resettles the sand bed properly.
✅ Flushes dirty water and debris to waste.
✅ Prevents dirt and sand from being sent back into your pool.

Proper Procedure:
1️⃣ Turn the pump OFF.
2️⃣ Set the valve to BACKWASH and run until the sight glass is clear.
3️⃣ Turn the pump OFF.
4️⃣ Set the valve to RINSE and run for 20–30 seconds.
5️⃣ Turn the pump OFF.
6️⃣ Return the valve to FILTER and restart the pump.

⚠️ Important: Never move a multiport valve while the pump is running. Doing so can damage the valve and internal components.

Proper maintenance keeps your pool cleaner, your equipment protected, and helps prevent costly repairs down the road.
