🚨 Another family back in hot water… literally. 🚨

We got the call yesterday after one of the homeowner’s water heaters developed a leak.

After discussing all of the available options, the homeowner decided replacing both water heaters was the best long-term solution.

During the installation, we found another issue that had gone unnoticed. The drain pans were actually sitting lower than the drain lines, meaning if either water heater leaked, the pans would overflow directly onto the floor instead of draining properly. In a second-floor mechanical room, that’s a recipe for expensive water damage.

We corrected the issue by raising the drain pans to ensure they drain as intended, installed two new Bradford White water heaters, and had the entire job completed in under three hours.

At We The Plumbers, we don’t just replace what’s broken—we look for the little things that can become big, expensive problems later.

We’re incredibly grateful for the trust our customers place in us. Thank you for continuing to support a local, family-owned business. It’s an honor to serve our community, one home at a time.

If your water heater is leaking, over 10 years old, or you’re not sure it’s installed correctly, give us a call before it turns into a costly repair.

Late-night plumbing calls build character… and caffeine addictions.

A family friend reached out because their daughter and son-in-law had just moved into an older home. While trying to clear a clogged drain so the A/C could keep draining into the bathroom sink, the P-trap had other plans and sacrificed its slip-joint nut.

We swung by that night, got them patched up, and kept them from spending the night playing “Bucket Patrol.”

This morning we went back, re-piped the drain properly, cleared the blockage, and got everything flowing like it should.

At this point, between the late nights and early mornings, we’re starting to think We The Plumbers should be sponsored by Red Bull…

Because apparently, plumbing emergencies don’t believe in business hours. 🔧☕🐂

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Home Depot is officially out of caulk. 🚨

We found where it all went. 🤣

Stopped by Home Depot today and found this masterpiece on display.

I’m not saying they used too much caulk…

…but if they scraped that sink clean, they’d probably have enough silicone left to finish the rest of the bathroom.

At this point, I’m pretty sure the caulk is the only thing holding the sink together.

Whoever installed this must’ve been paid by the tube.

Pro Tip: Caulk is meant to seal a joint—not hide a bad installation. If your repair requires enough silicone to frost a wedding cake, it’s time to start over.

Don’t worry… We The Plumbers had absolutely nothing to do with this work. We just couldn’t walk past it without sharing. 😂

This second-floor bathroom is a perfect example of why a failed toilet wax seal should never be ignored.

The wax ring is designed to create a watertight seal between your toilet and the drain. When it fails, every flush can allow water to seep under the toilet.

Here’s the problem…

If your toilet has been siliconed all the way around the base, that leaking water has nowhere to escape. Instead of showing itself on the bathroom floor, it gets trapped underneath, slowly soaking into the subfloor.

By the time you notice a problem, the damage is often extensive.

👉 In this case, the subfloor is completely rotted out and will need to be replaced.

A few warning signs to watch for:

* 🚽 Toilet rocks or feels loose
* 💧 Soft or spongy flooring around the toilet
* 👃 Musty or sewer odors
* 🟤 Stains on the ceiling below a second-floor bathroom
* 💸 Rising repair costs because the leak went unnoticed

A small leak can hide for weeks or even months before it finally shows its ugly face.

If your toilet is loose, leaking, or just doesn’t seem right, don’t wait. Catching a bad wax seal early can save you thousands in repairs.

🚨 What You’re Pouring Down the Drain Matters. 🚨

This came out of a soda machine drain line today.

No, that’s not mud…
No, it’s not grease…

That’s years of syrup, sugar, mold, and sludge that slowly built up until the drain finally said, “I’m done.”

A clogged soda drain doesn’t just make a mess—it can shut down equipment, create nasty odors, attract pests, and lead to expensive downtime.

💡 A little preventative maintenance goes a long way:

* Flush drain lines regularly.
* Keep condensate and soda drains maintained.
* Don’t wait until it’s overflowing onto the floor.

If your commercial drains are slowing down, backing up, or smelling like something died in them… give We The Plumbers a call before it becomes an emergency.

Your drain shouldn’t have more chunks than your chili. 🤢😂

🚨 PSA: Your A/C condensate line is probably trying to clog your bathroom sink. 🚨

You know all that cold water your A/C makes? It carries slime, algae, mold, and enough nasty stuff to make you question your life choices.

When that condensate drains into your bathroom sink, eventually this is what comes out… 🤢👇 (see photos)

It’ll plug a bathroom sink faster than a chubby kid chasing the ice cream truck.

Trust me… I was that chubby kid. We couldn’t afford the ice cream, but I still gave it everything I had. 😂

Moral of the story:
✅ If your bathroom sink is draining slow, don’t automatically blame hair.
❌ Sometimes it’s your A/C growing a science experiment in the drain.
