Exciting before and after! This customer had a powder room in their home in Havertown,PA that needed a remodel. Their toilet was sitting on a platform due to needing the “down flow” of the sewer underneath. We remodeled the bathroom and installed a SFA Saniflo USA upflush setup, bringing the toilet back down to ground level and installing a macerator pump behind (you can see in the pictures) the toilet in order to pump the disposal UP into the new sewer. With the addition of an American Standard pedestal sink, Delta Faucet, wall rebuild and tile floor installed, it came out great! Give us a call to get rid of that old platform basement toilet setup!

HOT WATER HEATER HACK

Depending on the age of your Hot water heater... You can add 5-7 more years of life by having your anode rod and expansion tank replaced. The anode rod is a sacrificial rod within the tank that deteriorates instead of your tank walls and components. Once the rod is all gone, it begins to eat at the tank and that is when you typically see a failure. The expansion tank is a tank that expands and contracts with the pressure from the heat of your hot water heater. The expansion tank expands and contracts instead of your hot water heater, giving it less wear and tear. However, once your expansion tank becomes water logged, it loses its ability to expand and contract and your heater takes the stress. This is also when you begin to see failures. If you give your expansion tank a simple 'tap' it should sound hollow. If it is solid, it is time to replace.

We installed a new Weil-McLain high efficiency gas setup and ran all new baseboard heating. The entire cost for this new setup will be paid for within a years time with this new highly efficient setup. Now our customer is enjoying a significantly less financial burden to heat their home.
