Last night, at Great Lakes Brewing Company a new chapter of environmental awareness opened its doors. On the skirt tails of Holly Harland who forged E4S (Entrepreneurs for Sustainability) way back in approximately 2000, Victoria Avi & Stephanie Corbet joined forces to re engage the Cleveland community with ECO SPEAKS! (www.eco speaks.com)
Pat Conway, co-owner of GLBC, donated the space and the music and gave a celebratory speech on the return of connecting Cleveland business and environment for earth justice.
Many of the “old timers”, myself included, held back tears as we pulled on memories of a “Green Family “ So many of us found refuge with on the third Tuesday of each month, now reunited. Personally I cannot say enough about E4S, it’s origins and how it build my businesses both Green Clean and PlanetGreen and gave me support as a single mother of four children, new entrepreneur, and my ground up creations that went from kitchen counter product making to a 30 employee “grown up” business in 2002. To all of my friends and family connected in sustainability and Cleveland, we are back! A big shout out of thanks to the force of nature that is Stephanie Corbett and victoria Avi along with Holly Harlan who will always be the goddess of green in my eyes. For those who missed out on being there I missed seeing you in the room. , , ,  mills and so many more.

Cleaning professionals are rarely seen as experts, but trust me, they are. They are experts in making life easier for you, in doing the dirty work, in using up their whole body to bring health to your home or business. This is not just a "dirty job", it is a job often done silently, without thanks, and with others assuming you are less then, not educated, or unmotivated. This article highlights the service, dedication, and commitment to community health that cleaning professionals are doing now, and always have been,at the risk of their own well-being. Thank you to all who are serving in this necessary and risk filled manner. We honor you!!

If you want to join our mission of awareness to honor and protect Elders, especially during this scary time for them, like the page and pass it on. Lets bring aging into a whole new light of respect. Not your average celebration time, regardless of how you honor this day. For the aging, traditions mean a lot, and give a sense of comfort in their lives. You too may be missing the treasures of this time and longing to sit around the table with those you love, especially your elders.
Scientific studies show that rituals help reduce anxiety. Think of it as the brains way of gathering it's security blanket.
A few ideas to make our Elders, near or far a little more secure, especially if they are in quarantine.
1. Drive by parades, with banners and ribbons. Opt out of the loud honking horns and sirens. Opt in to their era of music, waving, and blowing kisses. A little Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, and Louis Armstrong are good for anyone's soul.
2. Pictures on a poster board, if allowed, can bring back memories of good times in the past, and generate forward facing plans to look forward to.
3. Put on your best attire, or create a wild hat, and send images to loved ones sure to make them smile.
