Fueled up in Evanston! ☕️💻

​Took a break from the business grind and set up shop at the cozy Berry Pike Cafe on Davis Street. Was dragging, so a huge shoutout to Knul for recommending the Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie and the Avocado Bagel with Veggies. She knew exactly what wasneeded for an energy boost and she put the smooth in smoothie. It was challenging to put down!

​We love supporting local gems like this. If you need a great spot with high/low seating, Wi-Fi, and convenient parking (2-hour free on the side street!), this is your new office for the day. (P.S. They have amazing pastries, that were successfully resisted! 😋😮‍💨)

​This is a reminder that even the cleanest palaces need fuel! Whether it’s organizing a pantry or powering through a workday, we all need the right ingredients to find our peace.

It’s easy to read quotes like this, but how do you actually start the journey toward inner peace, joy, and self-love? 🤔 It can feel overwhelming, but it’s often about taking small, intentional steps.

At Pleasant Palace, we believe creating a peaceful environment on the outside helps cultivate peace on the inside. Here's a simple, three-step method to get started:

1. Acknowledge and Declutter. ⏲️ (15-30 minutes)
Before you can welcome new energy, ✨️ you have to let go of what no longer serves you. Take time to acknowledge items that create clutter, stress, or bad memories. Then, make a conscious choice to remove them. This act of decluttering is a powerful step toward making space for joy and clarity. Start with one small area—a drawer, a shelf, or a countertop.

2. Create a Sanctuary. ⏲️ (30-60 minutes)
Once you've cleared the clutter, it’s time to design a space that feels like a refuge. This doesn't have to be a major renovation.
