I recently had someone ask if yarn or hook size matter. And the answer is yes. Here's a side by side comparison of two of the dragons I've made.

The green one on the left was made using a size 5mm hook and Premier's Just Chenille Yarn, which is a thinner size 6 yarn. And the blue one on the right was made using a size 6mm hook and Premier's Stash Goals Yarn, which is a thicker size 6 yarn.

Tension and stitching style (yarn over vs. yarn under) can also play a factor in sizing as well. I know that I personally tend to have tighter stitches when I'm more stressed lol

Long before I started making flowers and plushies, I was making crochet afghans. Here’s a handful that I’ve made over the years...

1] believe it or not, I had only been crocheting for about a month when I decided to make this queen size sunburst flower blanket for my mother. It’s not perfect, but I think it was a good start
2] the Freddy Krueger inspired blanket that I made for my fellow horror loving brother
3 & 4] two of my granny square blanket commissions
5] last year, I finally made myself a blanket

Sneak peek of a dragon I'm currently working on. Since the dragon rider I'm making him for is a toddler, I'm using embroidered eyes. And I actually think that I like them more than the safety eyes 🐉💕
