SURPRISE! I am actually posting a project that is outside of the parade of homes. I am just as shocked as you are. 🤣 I had to share this one ASAP. This time of year is when I do a lot of renderings. The spring house plans are at the framing stage and big decisions need to be made. For this one the home owner had everything pretty much selected, she just wanted to see options for paint colors because WHITES are tough! I would say she pulled together some pretty amazing materials! The text at the end is everything to me. At the end of the day all I want to do is help and for you to love your home. ❤️

2026 Parade of Homes is officially in the books! I am always so sad to see it end, but also… I am taking a nap tomorrow. 😂 I am beyond grateful to be included in the Top of Utah Parade of Homes gang. I can’t believe it has been four years already. As always a huge thank you to the parade team, builders, and all of you for the support. I am pretty dang lucky. 🥹

5 TIPS FOR THE Top of Utah Parade of Homes
I have been going to the Top of Utah Parade of Homes for several years and have a few quick tips for you before you go!

1. The parade team has put together an app that makes finding details about the homes and directions to get there SO easy! Save yourself a lot of time and download the app!

2. Each home is filled with details. Pay attention to those little ones. Those little details are what set the good homes apart from the amazing homes. Ask the builders what their favorite detail of the home is. There are some good ones!

3. Slip on shoes and socks are hands down my best tip. Easy off with the shoes and you don’t have to mess with the booties. I always feel like I am going to fall on my face with the booties. We don’t have time to waste putting on shoes!

4. Going with friends/family makes the experience even better. Talking about your favorite parts of the home with a buddy is so fun. I will go with you! I absolutely love listening to the conversations going on in each home.

5. Message me! I have even more tips and tricks I would love to share. I have been to all of the homes and can give you some thoughts on the ones I think you shouldn’t miss. I think you should go to all of them, but I get it! We have busy schedules and can only do what we can do!

6. BONUS TIP.. plan your potty breaks. 😂 I have joked with my husband that I am going to set up some mobile bathrooms between a few of the homes for those of us with small bladders! Maybe we make it a quick little side gig and charge $2 to use it. 😂

LAKESIDE MODERN EURO COTTAGE - Livingston Homes
We are going to get two posts today. The Top of Utah Parade of Homes officially starts tomorrow! This is the last rendering! Can you believe it? Raise your hand if you are going! The Lakeside Modern Euro cottage is so dreamy. The layout and floor plan is too! See you there!

THE GAMBREL MANOR- Smart Construction | Custom Homes
I always get excited when I see Smart Construction on the Top of Utah Parade of Homes list. The homes are always beautiful and unique. The details are my absolute favorite! The gambrel roof.. oof gorgeous! But also oof.. tough to get just perfect. The software that I have is well known for not having the best roof design tools. 99.99% of the roof systems I have to manually draw and figure the angles, and radius’ for the “swoops”. I am pretty proud of how it turned out! The sneak peeks that I have seen of the interior are so good!

THE HALAI - Cross Construction | Luxury Custom Homes Bear Lake Luxury Rentals
Bear Lake friends! Listen up! The next two weekends are busy for you, but we can do it! I have a plan. Let’s go to the Montpelier Temple Open house in the morning, stop at LaBeau’s DRIVE-IN for a shake, and then go see the three beautiful homes left on the Top of Utah Parade of Homes tour! Sounds like the perfect day to me! Are you in?
Picking one view of the The Halai was so hard! Every angle is stunning! Bear Lake in the background.. dare I say the cherry on top!? I actually got my wish and got to do two renderings for this one. The second rendering is the first view I did, but chatting with Alex and the home owner we decided to twist the angle so that you could see the prominent feature that the home is known for. Do you know what that feature is? Trust me on this one.. go see it for yourself!

KNOLLS CREST - Henry Edison Company
My favorite time of the year is finally here! I am so excited. 😍 The homes for the Top of Utah Parade of Homes are almost ready for the doors to open on Thursday! I wish I could give you a tiny glance into all of the work that goes into each home and the parade itself. This home is #2 for Henry Edison Company. You definitely don’t want to miss it. On a different rendering I mentioned stone being one of the harder materials to get right for a rendering. The Knolls Crest really was a tough one. The stone is a custom mix between two different stones. That is not the tricky part, the part where I had no reference to go off of was. 😂 My deadline for the renderings was over with before the stone was put on the house. I took the two stone samples and created a texture that combined them to the builders spec percentages! We did a few variations with Tyler and settled for this one. What do you think??

THE BJORN - Henry Edison Company
This home is one of two for Henry Edison Company this year in the parade! My seven year old was “grading” her three year old sister’s homework today. She will be a tough teacher one day. 😂 I think she would give the Bjorn a A+ for the style and uniqueness! I for sure give it a 100% for being not the typical Utah home! Love it! Tomorrow we will see home #2. It is a completely different style! ❤️

THE HOMESTEAD - Dallas Yorgason
One of my favorite quotes is “Home isn’t a place, it is a feeling.” The Homestead seems like such a perfect place to find that feeling. I think that is one of my absolute favorite things about the building world. Creating a home is pretty special! Top of Utah Parade of Homes we can’t wait!
