Welp, I didn’t see this one coming!

Fun fact: when first starting to build G&G I emailed several churches in my local community asking to clean their church with little to no response back. Thankful for the opportunity to serve my home church! 🥰

You prove me right time and time again. I have THE BEST customers on the planet.

We are family here at Grace & Grit. It’s been a difficult week for my family personally as my daughter is again facing some health struggles again.

To the customers that have so graciously not cared that their home is skipped or rescheduled and cared far more about my sweet girl, thank you.

To the customers that find me in the bathroom and offer a hug and lend an ear to listen before I clean their shower, thank you.

To all of your prayers and support during this challenging week, the space for Grace…thank you. My family is forever grateful that YOU too see us and care for us just as much.

Grace & Grit is different, it’s special, and I am so so proud of who we are.

This week has been heavy.

When I started Grace & Grit I knew I wanted to be different. I say it all the time, it’s so much more than just a clean home. I want my customers to feel seen, heard, without judgement and an abundance of grace.

But this week when a customer has to leave abruptly in the middle of a clean for a medical emergency I began to feel the weight of being different.

When you receive that text for a memorial service for a customers son, you snap out of dreamland and grieve with the family, pray for comfort.

It’s more than business, it’s ministry. I’m honored to carry the weight. This is why Grace & Grit leaves Fridays open because without rest, the weight can be crushing. Thankful for every home I’m allowed to enter and care for. Also, so thankful that this leap of faith allows space to step away and rest.

It’s the hand written cards that have a way of making you feel seen and loved.

It’s the time back with your family because time flies and you deserve to make the most of the time you have with your family.

I am blessed with some of the most generous customers on the planet. From farm fresh eggs, monetary tips, local honey, gift cards…they all mean so much. You make me feel seen and appreciated and I do not take it for granted.

Today, it was a ring. I admit, I’m not a big jewelry wearer but how could you NOT wear what you stand for? So cool and so thankful that it was shared with me! 🥰

She’s on her own job hunt but while she’s waiting to hear back, she’s looking for any opportunity.
