Send a message to Dear Baltimore, I'll Do My Part:
In recent months, Baltimore has been the topic of discussion across the country and the world about the condition of our city. In the aftermath of negative comments about Baltimore being a dirty, rat infested place; Baltimoreans made it known they were proud of their city. However, it seemed that our civic pride didn’t go far enough to compel residents to take action and ownership of the condition of our neighborhoods- a new city-wide declaration is about to change that.
Native Baltimorean, Robert Ginyard was prompted to do his part in helping to clean up the city as the city continued to be plagued by trash filled alleys and illegal dumping. He created Dear Baltimore, I’ll Do My Part- an awareness campaign that requires action. It’s simple. If everyone does their part, the city will be clean. The campaign is not a slogan; it’s a declaration that calls for a cultural mind shift. People like his declaration, and have become inspired to get involved. A few magnetic bumper stickers displaying the Dear Baltimore message have already made their way onto a number of vehicles. In fact, one purchaser of a magnet said he was having breakfast at a local restaurant and returned to his car, only to find that someone stole his magnet; he encouraged Ginyard to hurry up and make them available to the general public so that people can buy their own. The goal of Dear Baltimore, I’ll Do My Partis to elevate Baltimore to be named one of America’s cleanest cities; thereby reducing crime, increasing tourism, and creating a better quality of life for all Baltimoreans.
