🌸🐝 Have you ever wondered how all those beautiful flowers magically appear throughout Downtown Auburn each spring—and somehow stay bright, colorful, and cheerful all season long?

Well... it isn't magic. It's community.

Every year, the City of Auburn and the Downtown Auburn Business Association-DABA (DABA) work together to make our little "bee feeders" bloom! Together, they fund approximately 150 annual flower planters and 32 hanging baskets, along with all the watering and maintenance it takes to keep them looking their best.

A special shout-out goes to Larry Lane and his amazing team, who are out bright and early making sure every basket and planter gets the care it needs. Your dedication doesn't go unnoticed, especially in this heat! 🌼💧

This year, the Auburn Police Department stepped in to cover DABA's entire financial contribution for the downtown flowers! 🌺🚓

This morning, Chief Heffelfinger presented DABA President Mike Littlejohn with a check, allowing DABA to redirect those funds toward other important initiatives in Downtown Auburn.

A big thank you to the Downtown Auburn Business Association, the Auburn Police Department, and everyone behind the scenes who helps keep Downtown Auburn beautiful, safe, and thriving.

Disaster Relief Now Available for Many Hoosiers

Governor Mike Braun has declared a disaster emergency for 63 Indiana counties impacted by severe weather, flooding, tornadoes and the June derecho.

If your primary residence was damaged and you are uninsured or underinsured, you may be eligible for up to $25,000 through Indiana's State Disaster Relief Fund to help with recovery.

-Assistance is available for eligible homeowners
-Applications are now open
-Additional counties may qualify as damage assessments continue

The State Disaster Relief Fund applies only to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. State funding cannot replace insurance coverage, which is the primary and best source of protection from storm damage. The fund only addresses the costs of repairing, replacing or restoring property that is the primary residence of the applicant, and cannot be used to help pay insurance deductibles.
