You wiped the counters. Maybe even wiped the stovetop. But the grates? The k***s? The little grease ring that made it look "not that dirty"? Different story.

Grease builds up around the grates and under the k***s, and it's the reason your kitchen can look clean and still smell like last Tuesday's dinner. Pull the grates off, soak them in hot soapy water (a little baking soda helps), and scrub with an old toothbrush for the tight spots. Wipe the k***s and the surface underneath, that's where crumbs and splatter go to hide.

One thing worth knowing: skip anything abrasive on stainless. Scouring pads and steel wool will scratch it. Stick to a soft cloth and dish soap, always wiping with the grain.

You wiped the counter, scrubbed the tub, lit the little candle. But the faucet base is still holding onto everything.

The gunk that builds up around the base and inside the aerator is the reason your "clean" bathroom still feels off. Warm soapy water and an old toothbrush will do it. Dry it with a microfiber so water spots don't set.

One thing worth knowing: skip the vinegar if your faucet is brass, copper, or gold finish. Acid strips the coating. Save vinegar for chrome and stainless only.
