Still looking back at some very special moments from my professional journey… ✨
In 2011, I was invited by Morumbi TV to talk about CASACOR, one of Brazil’s most important events in architecture, interiors, and design. Soon after, I was also invited to comment on Casa Cor Trio, and around the same time, Dolce Morumbi invited me to talk about Casa Cor as well.
What made these invitations so special was that these were not media outlets focused specifically on architecture and design. They spoke to a broader audience, and I loved having the opportunity to bring design into that conversation.
I also remember how natural it felt to be in front of the camera talking about something that had already been part of my life for so many years.
I truly believe that when we speak about what we know, live, and experience every day, the conversation simply flows.
Here in the U.S., I’ve also had the opportunity to participate in a few features connected to the Brazilian community, and those experiences were just as meaningful.
When I moved here in 2014, there was so much to learn — new processes, construction methods, materials, codes, suppliers, clients, and a completely different market.
Now, after 12 years working in the U.S., I realize how familiar this world has become too. Today, I could talk about interiors, renovations, construction, and the American market with much more confidence and ease than when I first arrived.
That is one of the gifts of experience: confidence, perspective, and the ability to speak naturally about what we truly know because we have lived it.
I’m going to look for some of the features I did here in the U.S. to share with you too.
And if you’d like to watch the Casa Cor and Casa Cor Trio interviews, the links are in my bio. ✨
