Remember that panel temperature is the important puzzle piece here. A shaded vehicle paint temp will be similar to paint temperature indoors. Excluding those 100 degree July days

Once the vehicle is washed and has been shaded (or early in the AM) it’s a green light to start paint correction and coating.

Also remember: someone outside who can achieve the same results as a fancy shop has some serious skill.

Race week at Road Atlanta.

If you’re parking in the corral, the paddock or the campground this weekend, your car is coming home with four days of rubber pickup, brake dust, bug splatter and red Georgia clay on it. Swipe for what that looks like up close, and what it looks like after we take it off properly.

We’ve held six slots for post-race cleanup: Thursday Oct 1, Friday Oct 2 and Monday Oct 5. We’ll come to your driveway or you can drop off with us in Hoschton, under 10 miles from the track. Detailing starts at $149.99. Camped trackside in the RV? We do those too.

Installing a Cermaic coating outside is perfectly fine!

Yes having the car dropped off to the workshop is preferred but that doesn’t mean installing them outside is flat out impossible. If you want it bad enough you’ll make it possible.

Conditions do have to be met… but not impossible by any means. This Kia has the exact same integrity in its coating as the corvette we are coating inside.

Today’s Lesson: Clay Bar

If your car is not ceramic coated it is collecting contaminates that are small but powerful. You can’t really see them but can feel them on there.

Iron, fallout, dirt and other minerals embed into your paint and don’t come off by washing. This is where clay bar comes in.
