The Barbara Best Singers of Wash., D.C. B.L. and S. Singers of D.C.) Known as the B.L.and S. Singers of Wash D.C, the Barbara Best SIngers are 2 now deceased.B.& L (RIP). All Female Recording Artist from the Washington, D.C area.

Founded by Barbara Ann Best- who was a Program promoter in the 60's qnd 70's presenting top name artists in the Washington area- such as : The Famous Barrett Sisters, Queen Albertina Walker, and many others. B.L. and S. have 6 recordings to their credit; 5 recorded in D.C. and the last in Montreux, Switzerland. They have been booked to European tours for the past 27 years, and have one video to

their credit. The group consists of original members Barbara Best, Lois Tillery-Moore, Sylvia C. Wayman, with Linda Gore who joined us about 12 yrs. ago . The overseas troupe consists of Lynda Nix, and Judy Ramsey. The total functioning Group consists officially of 2 Pastors, 2 Assoc. Elders, and 2 Evangelists. Additionally, a long time faithful pianist , Maestro Ralph Herndon. Many local musicians have accompanied this group, such as: Sylvia Wayman (The 1st musician), Professor Rickey Payton, Pastor Danny Mc Crimmon, Maestro Terrence Richberg, Maestro James Perry, Michael Vernon, Pastor Harold Sutton,The late and brilliant Tim Linzy, Minister Linair Holton,Carlos Venables,
Maestro Cority Quarles, Terron Whitehead, and Vernon Johnson. UPDATE: the founder and Leader of the B.L. Singers has recently passed from labor to reward.....having gone to glory to be with Jesus on Dec. 29th, 2012. R.I.P. Dear Mother Best. We miss you so much!!!
