🔥🦃 Holiday Fire Prevention: Deep Frying Turkey Safety 🦃🔥

Deep-fried turkey is a holiday favorite, but improper use of fryers is a leading cause of Thanksgiving fires. Protect your home with these essential safety steps:

• Fry only outdoors, on a stable, non-combustible surface
• Ensure the turkey is completely thawed to avoid oil splatter and flare-ups
• Measure oil carefully to prevent dangerous overflow
• Turn off the flame while lowering the turkey into the oil
• Maintain a clear safety zone around the fryer
• Keep a grease-rated fire extinguisher within reach

From our team to your family—stay safe and enjoy a fire-free holiday season.

Hope Rises: Mother of FIVE is faced with the unimaginable, battling breast cancer that is resisting treatment. We certainly believe in miracles and are hoping for total healing 🙏🏼

In the meantime, this entire family could use our support.

Casey was diagnosed last January with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma - just shy of her 40th birthday. So tragically, her cancer is resistant to chemo and radiation, due to mutations.

She is married to the love of her life and has five children, three of which are under 5-years-old 😥

Casey was a softball coach, t-ball coach, the PTA president, a snowboarder, business owner and so selflessly built a home for a local Veteran a few years back. Her kindness is unmatched.

Despite this horrific news, Casey's courageous fight continues. We will be helping to collect grocery gift cards for this warrior and her family -- if you wish to contribute. You can mail them to:

Today is National Rare Disease Day 🦓

Ashley was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation called Cowdens Syndrome in 2017, and is seen once a year at Cleveland Clinic by 7 specialists, along with her local doctors. She participates in studies to help find cures for cancer.
Cowdens Syndrome increases her risk for several cancers. Ashley had follicular thyroid cancer when she was 13. Her dx of autism, falls underneath the umbrella of Cowdens Syndrome. She has had 3 colonoscopy's, several mri's. CT scans, pet scans and endless blood draws to monitor her risk for cancer and other non benign growths. By the time she is 30 she needs to consider a preventative mastectomy, because her chances for breast cancer are 90%. As her mom, I don’t even know how she feels about everything because she can’t tell me. She can’t talk to friends or family so everything she went through is in her head and has never been verbally expressed. We have had a life time of challenges which can be very mentally challenging, stressful, depressing, worrisome but oddly rewarding at the same time knowing our strength and ability to live life to the fullest.

Thank you to all the warriors out there that fight every day and continue to wake up every morning and live life!

💪❤️

Check your furnace vent !

As you begin to clear the snow outside, don't forget to remove the snow and ice from outside furnace and appliance vents, chimneys, and gas and electric meters to avoid possible CO poisoning.

Be careful and prepared.
