We visited Penn State Career Services to see the Professional Attire Closet (PAC) in person—and it’s making a real impact.

For the past few years, Balfurd has partnered with PAC to clean and press donated clothing. Seeing it firsthand made it clear how important this program is. Thousands of students use it each year to get professional clothing for interviews and career opportunities.

PAC provides gently used clothing at no cost to students. Items are donated by alumni, faculty, staff, students, and community members. Balfurd professionally cleans and presses each piece, and students are encouraged to take one outfit so more people can benefit.

We're excited to be partnering with the United Way to help with the Glass Slipper Project!

This annual program provides free prom gowns and needed accessories to any teen attending proms/dances in Blair, Cambria, and Somerset Counties. Last year, they distributed 187 gowns to those in need. We are helping by drycleaning some gowns at no-charge.
