Just because the scratches disappear doesn't always mean they're gone.
The owner of this 2024 Chevy 2500 found that out the hard way after getting caught between some trees, leaving scratches throughout the truck.
He originally took it to another shop to have the scratches removed and the truck waxed. Everything looked good at first, but after a few washes, the scratches started showing back up.
After talking with one of our clients, he reached out to see what we could do.
We performed a multi step paint correction, carefully working through the deeper scratches to safely remove or significantly reduce them before refining the finish to bring back the depth, clarity, and gloss.
We also addressed polishing residue and marks left behind on the exterior plastics from the previous work.
While we can't say for certain what products or processes were used previously, some polishes and waxes contain fillers that temporarily conceal defects rather than permanently removing them. Once those fillers wash away, the scratches become visible again.
That's why proper paint correction is about more than making a vehicle look good when it leaves the shop. It's about achieving real, lasting improvements while preserving the integrity of the paint.
The scratches we successfully removed aren't going to reappear after a few washes this time.
Another truck cleaned up and looking the way it should again!
