The Plano Police Department's Homeland Security and Crime Prevention Units are hosting a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events training class. This program is designed to provide strategies, and guidance to increase your survivability should the unthinkable happen to survive active shooter events.

The event will be held on January 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Program Room of the Davis Library (7501-B Independence Parkway, Plano 75074).

The CRASE course is approximately 2 hours in length. The training consists of a 90 minute presentation followed by an interactive 30 minute question and answer session. What an evening!!! Our valued partner Plano City Lifestyle Hosted the Third annual City Lifestyle Community Recognition Dinner! So many honorable awards were given to valuable members of our community.

The truth is the community wouldn’t be same without each of these members. Thank you to all the vendors and first-responders helping make our community HOME!

We love our community! This weekend Bio-One of Plano volunteered in the preparation of nearly 40,000 meals with Tango Charities. It was great experience and even greater community service.

HUGE shout out to US Anesthesia Partners as well as Hawkeye from New Country 96.3! We got to enjoy some great live music thanks to Texas Live, and meet a lot of new people.
Another huge thank you to Nick Marino Jr. for putting in the hard work it takes to make communities thrive!

We are incredibly proud to announce one of our own as a recent FBI National Academy Graduate, Commander Rutherford.

The 290th session of the National Academy consisted of men and women from 46 states and the District of Columbia. The class included members of law enforcement agencies from 24 countries, five military organizations, and six federal civilian organizations.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend. On average, these officers have 21 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.
