Today, we’d like to recognize Mattie Hebert for a very special donation to The MJR Foundation.

Mattie and her husband have been together for 10 years and married for almost six. When COVID changed their wedding plans, the two decided to elope. The beautiful wedding dress Mattie had purchased was never worn.

Years later, instead of letting it continue to sit unused, Maggie decided she wanted it to mean something.

When she reached out to us, she simply said:

“I wanted to donate my dress to a good cause, and this one felt right.”

Mattie loves being a wife and a mom to their two boys, Jameson and Jackson. She is a local small-business owner who grew up right here in WBR. She owns The House Lady, a cleaning business she has built around something she genuinely loves doing.

This dress may have never gotten its original wedding day, but now it has a purpose. 🤍

Through Mattie’s generosity, its fabric can become part of the work we do for families facing the unimaginable… allowing something originally purchased for a celebration of love to become a final expression of love and dignity for a precious child.

Thank you, Mattie, for choosing The MJR Foundation. We are honored to give your dress its new purpose.

And if you’re local, please show some love to The House Lady and support someone who chose to give back to families in her own community. 🤍

In memory of Maverick, Jett & Riggs.
