Living in metropolitan Singapore in a flat where both parents go to work and children are sent to pre-schools and schools, we realise that we leave our flats inhabited by microorganisms. When we get home, we spend much of our time on our sofas and the nights in beds. With the work from home arrangements extending for some for approximately two years now, the number of hours we spend at home has ex
ponentially increased. That also means that amount of skin cells we shed in our homes have also exponentially increased. The humidity and heat becomes the perfect environment for these microorganisms to reproduce. When we are home and leave the windows open the entire day now, we see the film of dust on our furniture and quickly wipe it. It then dawned upon us that dust does not discriminate and land on the solid surfaces only but land on all surfaces which include the carpets, sofas and mattresses. We decided that it was time to pay it forward and share the science and success with others. That was how Continental Cleaning Solutions was formed and incorporated. Today, we not just provide a cleaning service to homeowners but also an educational experience that aims to create awareness.
