Bridging Plans to Progress: SVES LAC Session
Itโs a Friday afternoon at San Vicente Elementary School (SVES). While many are eyeing the weekend clock, the ICT Room is buzzing with a different kind of energy. Today, January 23, 2026, the educators of SVES have gathered for their School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) sessionโa cornerstone of professional growth designed to turn administrative blueprints into classroom breakthroughs.
The session kicked off with a warm welcome from Helen May T. Delada (HT-II), followed by a critical deep dive into the schoolโs roadmap. Jemima R. Deiparine, School Principal III, led a review of the Enhanced School Improvement Plan (ESIP) 2026-2028 and the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP).
In the world of education, these aren't just acronyms; they are the compass. By aligning their procurement plans (PPMP) and budget (APP) with these goals, the school ensures that every peso spent directly supports the learners' journey.
The "Session Proper" shifted the focus from the office to the classroom, focusing on three pillars of the modern educatorโs toolkit:
1. Supporting Learning through Formative Assessment: Geralyn G. Davide (Teacher-III) emphasized that assessment isn't just about a grade at the end of a unitโitโs about checking the pulse of the classroom during the lesson to catch misunderstandings before they take root.
2. Analyzing Data for Decisions: Unayssa Marie V. Jayoma (MT-I) challenged teachers to look beyond the numbers. By analyzing assessment data, educators can pinpoint exactly which skills need more "tender loving care."
3. Effective Feedback: Richelle Jain-Malumbaga (MT-II) reminded everyone that a "good job" sticker is nice, but specific, actionable feedback is what actually helps a student cross the finish line.
The M&E monitors the sessions by using Zip Grade as another means of evaluation through Pre-Test and a Google form is used for Post-Test and End-Evaluation.
Even the most dedicated teachers need a moment to breathe. The session included a Relaxing and Releasing Exercise, proving that SVES values the mental "recharge" as much as the professional "download." Led by moderator Evamae R. Dulos (T-II), the atmosphere remained collaborative and high-spirited.
As the SLAC session concludes, the educators of San Vicente Elementary leave not just with notes, but with a renewed commitment to their students. In the Division of Panabo City, excellence isn't an accidentโitโs a planned, data-driven, and collaborative effort.
