Good morning. Storytime about the time I made my first almost-million 💪🏽
₱900,000 in sales. A pandemic. And a lesson I didn't expect to learn.
When Gallon Gurl generated almost a million pesos in sales, I didn't feel rich.
Almost 80% went to the cost of goods. And what remained helped pay for everyday essentials: protein, groceries, and the things I needed to get through the pandemic.
No dramatic rags-to-riches story. No overnight success. Just a small business, a whole lot of resourcefulness, and one gurl (me 🙋🏽♀️) figuring things out as she went along. 😉
Gallon Gurl started during an extraordinary time when people needed cleaning products, and I saw an opportunity to serve that need.
I had ideas. I found products. I served customers. I made sales. And I learned lessons that no classroom could teach me quite the same way.
One of the biggest lessons?
Sales are not profit. Profit is not wealth. And a big sales number doesn't automatically mean a big bank balance.
But looking back, I'm proud of that ₱900,000.
Not because it made me rich, but because I generated those sales through my own hands, hard work, and a little bit of creativity. It was my pandemic baby.
And when life was uncertain, Gallon Gurl helped me put food on the table.
Sometimes, success doesn't look like a growing bank balance. Sometimes, it looks like making it through a difficult season with something you built yourself.
That's part of the Gallon Gurl story. No frills, just paid bills.
To every customer who supported this little business, especially during those uncertain times: thank you for being part of the journey. Every order mattered more than you might have known. 💙💚💙💚💙💚
We're still here, still learning, and still finding ways to bring you more value.
