I’ve read this on social media, THE CHANEL EFFECT…. Chanel’s price keeps on going up annually but people clamor for it despite of. Why? Because of its unique craftsmanship and design. But enough of Chanel. ðŸ¤ðŸ˜˜ Let’s talk about Linens and Suds Laundromat.
There are a lot of laundromat popping out everywhere. In our town, Bauang, I believe there are 5 of us competing for the towns people’s attention. A friend suggested that I should lower my price to be competitive but I said no. Why? Because we have a MISSION & a VISION. LINENS AND SUDS LAUNDROMAT is not your ordinary laundromat. When my sister and I first opened the store as OC LAUNDRY, we had evolved since then. We did not stop competing with ourselves. Not with anyone but with ourselves. We want to be a cut above the rest. When Nally and I changed the name to LINENS AND SUDS LAUNDROMAT, we envisioned that our shop must truly be a part of the community not only as a business and we profit but to give back to the community as well. So far, we conducted a blood drive to help the marginalized people have easy access to their blood transfusion needs, we sponsored a school for their Christmas program, and right now, we are sending 2 smart and hardworking girls to nursing school.
Our machines are of best quality. We recently bought 2 sets of jumbo washers and dryers to serve you more efficiently. Our water tank have 3 sets of filters to make sure we use clean water to wash your clothes.
Let’s talk about our staff. Our staff gets paid the updated minimum wage, aside from that, they have a meal allowance, they have free uniforms so they are presentable to serve you. Not only that, I remind them to shower everyday! I know they do but I want them to hear it from me because it is part of my rules. They have benefits: paid time off, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-Ibig, 13th month pay. They receive gifts in kind as well from the U.S. The files are easily accessible and open to them. I made sure all paperworks are organized and up to date. That’s their retirement and future.
I go home yearly to make sure they are providing the best and quality work. I am hands on as well. I wash, I fold, I pack. I set by example and I tell them that there are no short cuts. We serve because we love what we do and it’s not just a job.
So, when I was asked if I would lower my cost to be more competitive? I said NO. We set the bar. We set the quality. So if they want to be more competitive, they should up their ante and outdo us 💙💙💙 I said that with lots of love and competitiveness ðŸ¤ðŸ¤ðŸ¤ðŸ˜˜ðŸ˜˜ðŸ˜˜
