Hello world. Dirty Laundry Exhibition and Publication collaborators have just published another piece of writing, this time in the Pantograph Punch. Thank you especially to BRONWYN POLASCHEK and ZOE THOMPSON-MOORE for stitching this together from our many online conversations. Yay for art!

Dirty Laundry is a collective of artists and writers whose exhibition at Toi Pōneke explored invisible labour in the home. Here, they use images and words to stitch together a 'crazy quilt' about how they collaborate and carve space for creativity in their busy lives.

Lots of things I should be posting right now about things I'm doing and would love you to come to... But here is a pile of washing. I'm currently lying on it listening to CAT POWER . Hope you are all finding rest on this Whiro New Moon.

It's been a month of living, breathing, hanging out with the lovely folks at Toi Poneke Arts Centre, and now the Dirty Laundry Exhibition is saying see you later!

Thanks for having us, and hope that many of you in Te Whanganui a Tara were able to get down there to experience some of the beauty and care that has been woven into both the exhibition and accompanying publication.

Thank you also to those who have created, cared for, and kept stoking the fires of this kaupapa for the last year and a bit, we are all honoured to be a part of the journey that is Dirty Laundry.

You can still get yourself a copy by heading to the Gallery where they have a very small amount left!!! We hope to see you again soon, look out for where we will be hanging out next!

Make and make again, test and test again. Creating anything means many iterations, days and hours of figuring and finding out with hands and guts and hearts all listening to what is emerging. It's only a couple of weeks until we are heading into to install these works, and to bring this publication out into the light of our communities. Check out the public program on the Toi Pōneke website and look out for the links to the FB events.

Plus, here's a few sneaky previews of some of the epic content of the Dirty Laundry Publication.... As you can see, there's a lot of time sitting, breathing and speaking in these pages. We'd love for them to be speaking to you and the people you care about in the flesh!

We are so excited that the publication that will accompany our exhibition at Toi Poneke Arts Centre at the end of this month is almost ready to go to the printers! So much appreciation and gratitude to the amazing women who have pulled this together, Kate Stevens West, Cassie Ringland-Stewart and Brownwyn Polaschek

Under the pile of washing, school notices, birthday present wish lists and to-dos, there’s an abundance of seething creativity.
