To say the CHROME Festival 2025 was successful would be an understatement but most of all it was fun!.
On behalf of the MOTHERS New Zealand Team, we would like to say a big thank you to all those who attended.
Thank you also to all the sponsors who made the show possible and wasn’t it great to see all those brands and car related businesses mixed in with such a diverse group of cars and car culture all under one roof and having such a good time!

The real big news for us was something most attendees would not have even been aware of and that was the rolling out of our brand new state of the art judging system and putting together the MOTHERS judging Team for the event.
This new state of the art judging system was only made possible by the tireless efforts and technical know how of MOTHERS very own Peter Ellmers who was encouraged by Azhar himself to bring into the show an unprecedented level of professionalism not seen anywhere in the world.

MOTHERS then assembled ten very qualified Judges from around the country with diverse backgrounds in all facets of car building and administration.
Along with two being former SEMA judges themselves there was a sprinkling of NZHRA and NSRA former executives, as well as professional Painters, Engineers, Media professionals and Photographers to give a perspective on cars from all angles.

It was Azhar’s vision to have a Team who would operate completely independent of his organisation but who were capable of utilising MOTHERS system to Judge such a diverse group of vehicles without personal bias while at the same time recognising the SHINE Awards vision statement of...”Perfection In Every Detail” .

It was a tall order to fill but thanks to this team of professionals we think they did a fantastic job of selecting 20 of the most awesome cars from a sea of New Zealand’s best.
Thanks Azhar and Team for this great opportunity and thank you to all the guys on the MOTHERS JUDGING Team. Well done !
