☀️ SUMMER CONTRACTOR WANTED | FIORDLAND ☀️

Folded Laundry is gearing up for another busy Fiordland summer, and we’re looking for an awesome local CONTRACTOR to join our team for the upcoming season - with work available varying depending on bookings and demand.

The work will primarily involve:
🧺 Following Folded’s established laundry processes and presentation standards - Washing, drying and beautifully folding customer laundry
🏡 Opportunity for short-term rental / AirBnB cleaning and turnovers if desired
✨ Helping us deliver the reliable, high-quality service our customers know us for

Our customers trust us with their clothes, linen and homes, so maintaining our brand standards and quality is really important to us. What matters most is that you’re:
• Reliable and organised
• Can follow an established process consistently
• Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet
• Available over the busy summer period, including some weekends/holiday periods where required

INTERESTED? Send us a message telling us a little about yourself, your availability over summer, and why you think you’d be a great fit for Folded.

A little behind the scenes of a Folded order 🧺

From collection to washing, drying, folding and getting everything back to its owner, this is what a typical laundry day looks like around here.

And yes, sometimes there’s a tiny helper in the car too 😂🤍

If you’d rather spend your time doing literally anything else than laundry, that’s where we come in.

If your once-fluffy towels are suddenly starting to resemble cardboard… 😂

A few little laundry habits can make a big difference.

🧺 Don’t overdo the detergent
🧺 Avoid lots of fabric softener on towels
🧺 Don’t overload your machine
🧺 Make sure they’re completely dry before putting them away

Save this one for your next towel load. 🤍

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately… but Folded certainly hasn’t been quiet. 🧺

While the socials have taken a back seat, the laundry definitely hasn’t.

Behind the scenes we’ve been collecting bags (and bags… and bags 😅), weighing loads, washing, drying, folding, delivering, restocking linen cupboards, making beds and keeping things moving for local families, holiday homes and accommodation providers around Fiordland.

Every. Single. Day.

And with spring around the corner and another busy Fiordland summer not too far behind it, things are only going to get busier.

So consider this our little “hello, we’re still here!” 👋

Still washing.
Still folding.
Still delivering.
Still giving people one less thing to do.

And we’ve got a bit happening behind the scenes at Folded too… more on that soon. 👀🩷

📣 Last week we had the privilege of presenting six Folded Laundry Gift Vouchers to the amazing team at Fiordland Community House

These vouchers were made possible through our recent Matariki promotion and will be gifted to local people and families who could really use one less thing to worry about.

Laundry might seem like a small thing, but when life gets overwhelming, having someone take care of it can make a huge difference.

We love being part of a community that looks after one another, so a huge thank you to everyone who supported our Matariki campaign and helped make this possible. ❤️

Thank you Folded Laundry for your generosity and community spirit. What a thoughtful way to celebrate Matariki by helping local people have one less thing to worry about this winter! We so appreciate your kindness by donating us these vouchers for your service.

💙 Folded Gives Back

We live in a time where life moves fast. We're constantly chasing the next thing, the next achievement, the next moment.

This Matariki, let's take a moment to slow down.

✨ Look back with gratitude for where you've come from and those who've helped shape your journey.

💙 Look inward and make space for what matters most.

🌱 Look forward with hope and intention for the season ahead.

Gather. Reflect. Decide. Enjoy.

As a small way of sharing that gift of time, every laundry booking with Jamie or Olivia in Fiordland during our Folded Gives Back campaign will provide a free laundry voucher through Fiordland Community House, for someone in our community who could use a helping hand this winter.

Because we believe a little more time (and a little kindness) can go a long way.

From our Folded whānau to yours, Mānawatia a Matariki. ✨
