There’s no-one more vulnerable than the precious wee lives that lay in the SCBU & NICU units in our local hospitals. The amazing organisation Care For Families NZ steps up to care when it’s needed the most.
We didn’t think twice, when we heard they needed urgent assistance with a major rodent🐀 🐀🐀infestation in their storage facility.
We proudly donated, installed & serviced rodent bait stations in and around the storage facility to ensure they have a safe place to store their goods and supplies.

Today has been incredibly tough 💔
We’re facing one of those moments where everything feels like it’s piling up at once. We have so many urgent care packs that need to go out this week… but when I went into our storage container today, a mouse had gotten in. Sadly, a large portion of our remaining supplies have been contaminated and can no longer be used — especially for our precious NICU babies, where hygiene has to be absolutely perfect. This is the realities of what we having to work with, under minimal funding and in a crisis time beyond words with more services needing our help than ever before!!
The emotional toll of this has really hit. Trying to hold everything together, keep packs going out, and not let families down… while also running this on my own and caring for and homeschooling my own children with additional needs — it’s a lot. Today has been overwhelming.
But I know we can get through this together 💛
We need help urgently this week.
If you’re local to our Albany Centre and able to lend a hand, we would be so grateful for:
• Help sorting, cleaning, and reorganising supplies
• Someone to sit with and cuddle our sweet baby girl while I work

• Baby clothes (prem–6 months)
• Nappies
• Teddies
• Story books & baby toys
We’re also desperately needing sturdy, sealable storage containers to keep everything safe moving forward.
