From the rugby field to the international stage — what an awesome story of community spirit and generosity!

Our masonry legend Dan Dowall from Bowers Brothers coaches the Morrinsville U85 Rugby Team, and one of his standout players, Simon Sia, has proudly been selected for the New Zealand team travelling to Sri Lanka to take on their National side in a two-game series for the Sir Graham Henry Cup.

Before heading overseas, Simon asked the boys if they had any old rugby shirts he could gift to the locals in Sri Lanka, where rugby passion runs deep. Dan also flicked him some Bowers caps to share with the fans — and now we’ve got these fantastic photos of happy supporters proudly rocking their Bowers gear on the other side of the world!

Moments like this are what it’s all about. We’re incredibly proud to support local community sport and see those connections reach far beyond New Zealand shores.

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Pete brings an outstanding mix of practical knowledge, professionalism, and customer-focused service to every project. Having completed his apprenticeship and earned a National Certificate in Carpentry, Pete has built his career on quality workmanship, attention to detail, and strong industry expertise.

Based in Riverhead, Pete also brings more than 8 years of sales experience within the construction sector, along with extensive concrete knowledge gained across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. His hands-on background allows him to truly understand customer needs, provide practical solutions, and build lasting relationships through clear communication and reliability.

Pete is passionate about the construction industry and takes pride in helping projects come together from the ground up. Whether it’s advice on the right concrete solution or support on-site, Pete is committed to delivering trusted results and exceptional service for our customers.
