Sandy Bay, Tutukaka Coast - Sandy Bay is the a well known surf beach on the Tutukaka Coast.
The locals love this beach as it provides great surf all year around, and in the winter months they often have the beach to themselves.
In the summer, like anywhere in the Tutukaka Coast, the beach can be very busy, but come 5 o'clock and the car park generally clears out.
Tip:
The Southern end is often less crowded and offers smaller, safer waves for children to play in.
