Coyne Drainage Coyne Drainage are your reliable, family owned and operated drainlayers in Wellington, New Zealand.

Welcome to Coyne Drainage

For over 50 years and 2 generations, Coyne Drainage has been in service to the people of Wellington. We’ve laid thousands of metres of drainage under your streets, homes and places of work and play. We design, plan and lay drainage for surveyors, architects, project managers and property owners in Wellington. We do jobs that others can’t or won’t and pride ourselves on o

ur ability to minimise the intrusiveness of laying drains. We’re a family owned business that was started by Michael Coyne in 1967… Today, the business is run by Laurie and Amanda Coyne (Michael’s son and daughter-in-law.) Laurie joined the business in 1996 taking a break from Uni before going back to do honours – but after receiving a Bachelor of Commerce, he never did return to Uni, deciding instead to get into the family business. Michael was Laurie’s mentor and the business has kept going strong under the family name to this day. There’s no secret sauce, just good honest work to ensure our customers are happy. If you look behind the scenes, the hard-working Amanda Coyne does a lot to organise and support our guys who are out in “the trenches”. To start things off, call our helpful team today on: 021 128 8280.

Heads up! Heavy rain is forecast for the Wellington Region on Wednesday evening. 🌧🌧🌧

Now's a good time to check any stormwater sumps near your home to make sure that they are clear of leaves and any other debris - this will help keep water off footpaths and properties. It’s also worth having a quick check of the gutters around your home to make sure they’re clear, too.

Meanwhile, our operations teams are checking known risk areas and are working to ensure that the stormwater networks can perform as well as possible. If you can, keep an eye on your stormwater sumps when the heavy rain comes through, and if surface flooding happens, please take care and contact your local council.

Wishing all our family, friends, clients and suppliers a safe and happy holidays. See you in 2020! 😎

A good reminder as to what goes down the loo. Flushable wipes are not good for your drainage pipes!

It’s great to see more parents using reusable cloth nappies and reducing their waste ♻️🌏 However, some of the disposable liners get flushed down the loo 🚽

So, Wellington Water has some advice for you...
Although they may say on the packaging they are flushable, they are actually damaging to the wastewater network, causing blockages which often have to be cleared by hand 🤢

It can also cause problems at your end too! Fixing blockages can result in hefty plumber’s bills, so make sure you only flush the 3Ps - Poo, P*e and (toilet) Paper 💩🚽🧻

Thanks Wellington Water ❤️

Sound advice to check the drains around your property.

Wet weather incoming - check your drains around your home.

We're expecting some not so great weather over the next few days, so now is a good time to check and clear the gutters and drains around your home, as blockages can cause major issues on your property.
