🎉💚 I AM BACK!!! 💚🎉

Well, that was an unexpected break! 😂

After a rather frustrating few weeks of being locked out of Facebook and Instagram, I am FINALLY back!

For those wondering where I disappeared to, a paid recruitment advertisement for Take a Break Cleaning Service somehow resulted in Meta disabling my accounts. Despite numerous appeals and a lot of head scratching, getting back online proved to be quite the adventure! 🤦‍♀️

But while Facebook might have put me in the naughty corner, Take a Break Cleaning Service certainly did not stop! 🧽✨

I have been busy cleaning, meeting lovely new clients, tackling some fantastic transformations and continuing to grow the business.

And yes, I am still working towards bringing another team member on board! 💪

One thing this experience has taught me is just how important it is to have ways to stay connected outside social media.

So, for all cleaning enquiries and bookings, you can always reach me through:

A huge thank you to everyone who continued supporting Take a Break while I was missing from your feeds. 💚

Now, where were we? Oh, that is right...

Less to-do, more ta-da! ✨

✨ WE'RE GROWING! ✨

Take a Break Cleaning Service is looking for the right person to join our little team. 💚

This will initially be a casual position at $24 per hour, helping with larger cleans, deep cleans, end-of-tenancy cleans and other jobs where an extra pair of hands is needed.

For the right person, there is potential for the role to grow into a permanent part-time position as the business continues to grow.

Most work will be during weekday daytime hours, although occasional evening and weekend work may also be available.

🧽 We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, honest and trustworthy
• Friendly and respectful
• Punctual and able to use initiative
• Someone who takes pride in the little details
• Comfortable working in a variety of homes and environments
• Non-judgemental and respectful of every client's circumstances

Previous professional cleaning experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and attention to detail matter more to us than experience. Training will be provided.

🚗 You'll need:

• A current driver's licence
• Reliable transport
• To be willing to undergo New Zealand Police vetting
• To be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

💚 What we provide:

• $24 per hour starting rate
• Paid training
• Paid travel time between jobs
• Mileage reimbursement when your own vehicle is authorised for work-related travel
• Cleaning products and equipment supplied
• Primarily daytime work
• Potential to grow with a small, locally owned business

At Take a Break, our philosophy is simple: our job is to help, not to judge.

We want someone who will treat our clients, their homes and their circumstances with the same care and respect that we do.

📩 Interested?

Send us a message or email [email protected] with:

• A copy of your current CV
• A little bit about yourself and why you think you'd be a good fit for Take a Break
• Your general availability, including which weekdays you're usually available

No formal cover letter required — we'd just like to get to know a little about you.

And if you know someone who sounds perfect for us, feel free to tag them or share this post. 💚

Does your bathroom need a reset? 😊
Soap scum, dust, water marks, buildup around fittings, and floors that have been needing a little extra attention… sometimes all a space needs is a proper deep refresh to feel calm and clean again 💚
No judgement. Just fresh starts and seriously satisfying results ✨

As the nights get darker and the lights go on earlier, now is definitely the time of year to make them sparkle ✨
With the lights being used more through the colder months, little details like light shades can make a surprising difference to how fresh and bright a home feels.

A slow draining sink is usually hiding more than you think 👀
Hair, build-up and grime can quickly turn into smells, blockages and overflowing water — but a proper detail clean makes all the difference.
