Live broadcast of 'lottery' for selection of Nepali Auxiliary Workers for employment in the caregiving sector in Israel concluded successfully today.
The event held at the Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA), Jerusalem, Israel, was attended by senior Israeli officials. Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, officials from the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE), Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment (GoN), and friends from Nepali media, joined the live broadcast in Nepal, ensuring public confidence in the fairness and integrity of the process.
A total of 1,115 candidates were included in the lottery process, comprising 784 male and 331 female candidates. Through the lottery, 75% of candidates from each category were selected, resulting in a total of 836 selected candidates.
H.E. Ambassador Shmulik Arie Bass, speaking during the live broadcast informed, “More than 2,100 additional employment opportunities in Israel’s caregiving sector are expected to open soon. Furthermore, Israel and Nepal are finalizing two bilateral protocol agreements on “Home-based Caregiving” and “Agricultural Workers, where many opportunities await Nepali workers.”
The selected candidates will undergo final stages of recruitment process, including medical examinations and criminal record verification. Those who are confirmed medically fit without criminal records will travel to Israel in batches, beginning September 2026.
Nepali Workers recruited under this bilateral agreement will receive same minimum salary and employment conditions as Israeli workers, in accordance with the Israeli law.
Successful completion of the lottery marks another important milestone in the labour cooperation between Nepal and Israel. Both countries remain committed to transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity throughout the recruitment process.

इजरायलमा हेरचाह क्षेत्रमा रोजगारीका लागि नेपाली सहायक कामदारहरूको छनोटको लागि 'लटरी' को प्रत्यक्ष प्रसारण आज सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भयो।
इजरायलको जेरुसेलमस्थित जनसंख्या तथा आप्रवासन प्राधिकरण (PIBA) मा आयोजित कार्यक्रममा वरिष्ठ इजरायली अधिकारीहरूको उपस्थिति थियो।
नेपालका लागि इजरायलका राजदूत, वैदेशिक रोजगार विभाग
(DoFE), युवा, श्रम तथा रोजगार मन्त्रालय (GoN) का अधिकारीहरू र नेपाली मिडियाका साथीहरूले नेपालमा प्रत्यक्ष प्रसारणमा सामेल भए, जसले प्रक्रियाको निष्पक्षता र अखण्डतामा जनताको विश्वास सुनिश्चित गर्यो।
चिठ्ठा प्रक्रियामा कुल १,११५ उम्मेदवारहरू समावेश थिए,
जसमा ७८४ पुरुष र ३३१ महिला उम्मेदवारहरू थिए। चिठ्ठा
मार्फत, प्रत्येक श्रेणीबाट ७५% उम्मेदवारहरू छनोट भए, जसको
परिणामस्वरूप कुल ८३६ उम्मेदवारहरू छनोट भए।

एरी बासले जानकारी दिए, “इजरायलको हेरचाह क्षेत्रमा
२,१०० भन्दा बढी थप रोजगारीका अवसरहरू चाँडै खुल्ने अपेक्षा
गरिएको छ। यसबाहेक, इजरायल र नेपालले “घर-आधारित हेरचाह”(HomeBased) र “कृषि कामदारहरू, जहाँ धेरै अवसरहरूले नेपाली कामदारहरूलाई पर्खिरहेका छन्” मा दुई द्विपक्षीय प्रोटोकल सम्झौताहरूलाई अन्तिम रूप दिइरहेका छन्।”
छनोट भएका उम्मेदवारहरूले भर्ती प्रक्रियाको अन्तिम चरणहरू पार गर्नेछन्, जसमा चिकित्सा परीक्षण र आपराधिक रेकर्ड प्रमाणीकरण समावेश छ। आपराधिक रेकर्ड बिना चिकित्सकीय रूपमा फिट पुष्टि भएकाहरू सेप्टेम्बर २०२६ देखि ब्याचहरूमा इजरायल यात्रा गर्नेछन्।
यस द्विपक्षीय सम्झौता अन्तर्गत भर्ना गरिएका नेपाली कामदारहरूले इजरायली कानून बमोजिम इजरायली कामदारहरू जस्तै न्यूनतम तलब र रोजगारी सर्तहरू प्राप्त गर्नेछन्।
लटरीको सफल समापनले नेपाल र इजरायल बीचको श्रम सहयोगमा अर्को महत्त्वपूर्ण कोसेढुङ्गा चिन्ह लगाउँछ। भर्ती प्रक्रियाभरि पारदर्शिता, निष्पक्षता र समान अवसरप्रति दुवै देश प्रतिबद्ध छन्।
