4. Use products

It may be surprising, but there are products you can use to take care of your purse. I like spraying my purses with a rain and stain repellent to protect my purses. (Not so much from rain, but from me accidentally spilling liquids on it, as I’m so prone to do!) Also try to make it a habit to wipe down your purse once in a while with product so the stains don’t become permanent, or to just give it that newly bought shine.

5. Store your bags on a shelf

I used to hang my purses in my closet, but after a while I realized that it was causing wear and tear on the handles from the weight (especially if I didn’t take my things out of my purse). If you have a shelf or a flat ledge, I recommend putting your purses there because that way you don’t stretch the handles and it’s protected from any roaming frenchies or accidental spills!

And there you have it, my 5 tips on maintaining your purses! Purses are so important in pulling an outfit together, it’s definitely worth it to maintain its quality for as long as you can. 3. Stuff your purse to maintain its shape

I like to have a lot of large purses, but that also means they require a bit of maintenance compared to my smaller purses. I like to put a sweater I’m not wearing for the season into my larger purses to maintain its shape. Tissue paper or newspaper also works but I like using a softer material so it’s more organic!

This purse can easily cave in when it’s empty!

When it comes to taking care of your things, purses usually fall under the radar, sitting comfortably under phone and shoes. Purses are so unassumingly durable that it’s hard to imagine it could need any sort of care-taking. But in the long run, the wear and tear will start showing in your purse if you don’t take care of it! I’m sharing 5 simple tips I have to maintain the pristine quality of your purse.

1. Use a clutch to hold your liquids

I can’t tell you guys how many times I accidentally spilled lotion or foundation in my purse. It’s also a pain moving my products every time I switched purses. Putting them all into a clutch helps me find my products easily and now when I switch bags, all I need to move is my wallet and my clutch.

1. Keep your dust bags

Your purses usually comes with a dust bag– keep them! They’re great for protecting your bags when you’re not using them. I like putting my leather purses into their dust bags after so the leather maintains its luster.
