Dear friend,

LasGidis Recyclers commenced the "Save a Plastic" summer competition on Friday, 26 July. Competition will run till Friday August 23, with a fun day slated for Saturday August 24. We are working with 100 kids (50 in the Lekki area, and 50 in Ojo). We have 10 volunteers.

The objective of this summer competition is to encourage proper waste management with special focus on disposal of PET plastic and nylons.

Once a child registers, we will provide clear bags, and we will come pick up. All liquid contents are to be emptied and plastic squeezed.

There are activities planned for the biggest collectors in the last week and a fun day on the last day. Children will learn about recycling, upcycling, and proper disposal of wastes for a cleaner environment, beach cleanups, and waste management education.

Prizes will be given based on performance. Every participant will receive a certificate.
