Gahau Falls, hidden away in Kuala Kubu Bharu, remains relatively unknown compared with Lata Medang, Chilling Falls and Lata Makau. It consists of five waterfalls, but these two are my favourites.

Batu Berangkai Waterfall is about 2.1 km from Kampar town. Along the way, visitors pass Masjid Al Nur and traditional Malay and Orang Asli villages. The waterfall is a popular spot for swimming, picnics, and camping, with clear water and beautiful natural scenery. The road is narrow and steep, so drivers should be careful, and only basic facilities are available.

Salu Waterfall is located between Kampar and Gopeng. This peaceful spot features several small cascades leading to a larger waterfall and shallow pool at the top, perfect for a refreshing dip.

The best part is its natural setting, with water flowing over granite boulders surrounded by wild trees. These rocks form part of the larger Bujang Melaka mountain range.

Lata Petai in Kampar, Perak, is a short and easy-to-moderate hiking trail featuring a forest stream and natural pool. The 2km hike takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour one way. The best part is that no permit is required.

For RM15 per person, you can enjoy the waterfall, swim in the natural pools, and experience the two exciting natural water slides. It's the perfect spot to cool off, relax, and enjoy nature with family and friends.

Located in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, Bukit Liman Kati stands 510 metres above sea level and has become a popular hiking destination in recent years. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for a round trip, following a well-paved concrete trail from the base to the summit.

Along the way, hikers are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, making it a worthwhile destination for both beginners and nature lovers.
