"This is TPU." 🛑

When a salesperson tells you this, they actually aren't giving you any useful information. Customers often show us quotes and ask, "They are all TPU! Why is your price so much higher?"

That is a fair question! When every seller claims their PPF is "imported TPU" with "self-healing" properties and a "10-year warranty," everything sounds the same. But here is the truth: TPU is just a material category. It is not the final answer for quality!

Just like two cars can both have four wheels, the driving experience, durability, and safety will not be the same. The real difference in PPF often appears later:

Having PPF is NOT the same as having it done right. 🚘✨

This Rolls Royce Phantom costs more than RM2,000,000 and came to us already equipped with full-front PPF. The owner brought it in for an inspection after seeing our paint correction video, initially wanting us to remove swirl marks from the areas without PPF.

Here is what we found under our inspection lights:

⚠️There were swirl marks across the black paint and many scratches on the PPF itself.

⚠️Some light marks did not recover even after testing the film with hot water, as deep scratches cannot self-heal.

⚠️Some edges on the car were left exposed and several corners had open cuts.

⚠️Without proper adjustment, exposed edges can collect dirt, create visible dirt lines, and lead to lifting or bubbles later.

Computer data gives precision, but it is the installer's experience that gives the final result. A pattern should not be cut and installed without adjustment. Our technicians adjust the pattern according to the actual curves, corners, and gaps of the car, extending and wrapping the edges safely to create a clean and precise finish.

After correcting the paint on the unprotected areas and improving the existing PPF, the black paint regained its depth and shine, making the entire car look much cleaner under the lights.

Guaranteed No Paint Damage When Removing PPF? Be Careful!

If someone guarantees you that removing your PPF won't damage your paint, you should be careful.

Some people avoid PPF because they fear that after 3 or 5 years, the car will be covered in adhesive or the paint will come off with the film. This question cannot be answered with a simple "yes" or "no". Here is what you actually need to look out for:

✅Original Paint Condition: We need to know if the car still has complete original paint, as repainted panels may not have the same adhesion as factory paint.

✅Age of the Film: We must consider how old the PPF is and whether it has badly aged.

✅Sun Exposure: We need to know how long the car stays under the sun.

✅Removal Technique: The temperature, pulling direction, and force used during removal all matter.

With stable original paint, a reasonable usage period, and correct removal, the risk is usually lower. But no responsible shop can promise 100% without knowing the car's repair history.
