So pumped to see these images of

-1st time ever paddling Teahupoo and on a short window during a fishing/ photo trip for
He had literally a day or so to get his feet wet on arrival to a legit swell. Jumped right in Riding the exact same board he got those crazy waves at Silverback the previous year. This board has only been ridden a handful of times and Quentin called us up smiling ear to ear saying it’s once again ridden some of the better waves of his life.
Safe to say she’s a magic blade!

He was particular about what he was looking for. Communicated this well. Ended up picking up more than one board and I must say for his age and size it’s awesome to see his surfing and hear the stoke! been quite impressed with his surfing and style. 7 Barrels on a 1min long wave, in a place I’d never been 🤯 my mind was blown!

Unseen Footage from a “Maps To Nowhere” trip with &
This clip didn’t make the cut in the feature edit, and only the last 2 sections got filmed from land. I hadn’t had a proper set wave all day, due to poor positioning, or going on a smaller set and walking back up when a bigger set would hit. My timing was very off throughout the day. Finally this thing lumped up in front of me at the very top of the point, an insanely long wall, the biggest wave I’d been in position for, and it was my first completely flawless wave of the day from top to bottom… and my last.

I had exhausted all my MAX 360 cam batteries, and was on a backup Hero 9 Camera, cause I had flooded my other Hero 12 on my first wave of the day. My settings weren’t dialed, so I had it way too cropped in (notice you never see the nose of my board in this clip 🥲). So, I unfortunately didn’t get to fully capture the beauty of this wave… but I’m so glad to have something of it to look back on, and reminisce on a wave and feeling I’ll never forget.
