REFORM speaks to what studio NiCHE. stands for, to create spaces that invite people to pause, to play, to notice and to be present. Time, Space, Existence, Biennale exhibition fell in line with the studio’s core principles to create spaces that make you stop and feel. ‘REFORM’ challenges how we move, observe, and connect in a world that rarely slows down.

Located on one of Birgu’s many charming alleys and surrounded by striking architecture dating back to the of Malta is a guesthouse, brought back to life by Martina Fenech Adami, founder of NICHE., whose client – raised in Birgu and with a deep fondness for the city and its people – sought a design that matched the potential of the building while enhancing its original features. Take a look inside.

Studio NiCHE brought an old building full of interesting architectural details out of the woodwork, giving it a new lease on life.

We're obsessed with this small bathroom bursting with personality.

Poured microcement floors are a great option — this finish is seamless, durable, and visually striking. “We used small red mosaic tiles on the walls and floor of the bathroom,” says Martina Fenech Adami, founder of Studio NiCHE. “The rest of the floor features a light blue and beige microcement finish.”
