Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt) Limited (BTEL) is a member of Browns Group of Companies in Sri Lanka (www.brownsgroup.com). Leisure & Airline (GAS) and Investments. Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt) Limited is a manufacturing arm of Browns Group, marketing their products under the “RADCO” brand. BTEL is the largest heat exchanger manufacturer in Sri Lanka. It holds the highest market share of 22% in the radiator market. In the brand new radiator category it has a 42% market share. BTEL manufactures automotive radiators (Copper & Brass) for an array of vehicles. Geared to manufacture both corrugated type radiators and fin type radiators. The flat fin type radiators withstand high dust and debris levels for heavy industrial vehicles. RADCO is the most sort-after name in cooling systems for the industrial and power generation market. Their ranges are coolers used in generators, locomotives and earth moving equipment & machinery. They also have industrial radiators suited for offshore salt laden environments as well. BTEL also manufactures shell and tube coolers. They also have the capability of manufacturing finned tube driers and flat fin driers for the tea, coconut and rubber industry and for laundry equipment. These driers are made out of seamless heavy duty steam tubes or seamless brass tubes according to customer requirements. Stainless steel tubes and fins are produced for the food industry. Also under the RADCO brand BTEL distributes radiators to “emergency power suppliers” abroad. BTEL is one of the main suppliers for a US Company and already exported over ten containers within last 18 months. We are one of the main suppliers to Sri Lanka Railway, SRI Lanka Transport Board, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Sri Lanka Fisheries Corporation and lot of other private fleet owners in Sri Lanka. As a group we are one of the main suppliers to all government defense establishments. In addition we have over 250 country wide dealer network, who has been with us for an over 20year. Apart from the dealers we have a set of workshops who deals with us directly.

Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, opened their new premises on Darley Road on 21st July 2016.

The new premises will serve as a ‘One-Stop-Shop’ for all Radiator Sales and Services. Apart from the two outlets situated in Galle and Dambulla, this is the first of many that will be opened in the Colombo district. Browns Thermal hopes to reach out to its clients island-wide with plans underway to open branches in various strategic locations around the country.

Customers in Colombo are now privy to second to none, tailor-made and efficient services from trained and experienced Browns Technicians and also the convenience of purchasing all radiator related products.
In addition the new Sales and Service centre will also market TAFE, Massey Ferguson and Sifang tractor spare parts.

Some of the radiator services offered are: check-ups, fixing, tank cleaning & welding, repairs, flush & fin cleaning, oil cooler repairs, thermostat & radiator cap check-up and much more.

Sharing with you an update subsequent to the recent Techno Exhibition, held at the BMICH in which Brown & Company was represented by Browns Thermal Engineering and other key strategic Business Units.

Browns played a significant role in Techno 2015 under the theme - “Service Excellence Through Innovation”

Browns Thermal Engineering won a Gold Award for – “The Best Display of Local Products”.
In addition Browns also won a Bronze award for "Best Demonstration" and a token of appreciation for being the Gold Sponsors of the event.
