I’ve shared this article before, but with the sun shining I just feel motivated today! I thought I’d share this again to inspire anyone who needs a little nudge to set a small goal TODAY! 100 items in your home in one hour?
It sounds like a lot, but if you start with the simple things like trash items in the bathroom cabinet such as empty or expired medicines or makeup, you’ll find that soon you’re on a roll and don’t want to stop! From there pick another room and just focus on that. Maybe 10-20 things per area and suddenly, in just an hour you may be able to accumulate 100 items to let go of! I promise it feels so good at the end!
What to do with the items? I have found in our local community the easiest option is usually to post for free!! Someone will gladly come scoop up your items 9/10 times. If not, the tot swap on MB is coming up, consider donating kids items to that! Or lastly if these aren’t an option, you can bag them up and toss them in your trunk until the next donation day at the thrift store. I’m big on reusing or donating items when possible, but sometimes even just trashing it can be the best option for you at the time if you know you may be prone to letting the items just sit and sit for weeks and not really leave your home. Feel free to message me to chat if you want help accomplishing this!
