🎓🌱 🇲🇹 The Future - Fostering Sustainable Tourism new Employees project concluded today.

The final event, hosted at the Istituto Alberghiero "R. Virtuoso" - Salerno, brought together all the project partners - with the coordination of GuestItaly - to celebrate the results of 20 months of training activities aimed at students, teachers and tourism operators in and .

📘 Among the most significant outputs, the publication of the e-book of sustainable recipes, created by the students of the Istituto Alberghiero R. Virtuoso - Salerno and the Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade, with dishes based on criteria of reuse, recycling and seasonality.

🔗 A special thanks to all the partners, the teachers involved, and the students who believed in this experience, which represents not a finish line, but a new starting point. The transition towards sustainable tourism passes through education and international collaboration.

🇮🇹 📢 Open Day Malta del progetto FUTURE: un successo di sostenibilità e collaborazione! 🌍👩‍🍳

Lo scorso 12 marzo, la Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade ha organizzato l’Open Day conclusivo del corso in presenza a Malta, un momento speciale per condividere i risultati del progetto Future - Fostering Sustainable Tourism new Employees.

L’evento, ospitato con entusiasmo dal St Edward's College, Malta, ha visto i ragazzi protagonisti nella presentazione dell’e-book di ricette sostenibili, sviluppato in collaborazione con l’Istituto Alberghiero "R. Virtuoso" - Salerno. Un vero e proprio viaggio tra tradizione e innovazione, con ricette che promuovono l'uso di ingredienti a chilometro zero e la riduzione degli sprechi alimentari.

Durante la giornata, gli studenti hanno avuto l’opportunità di servire alcuni piatti contenuti nell’e-book, dimostrando le competenze acquisite nel corso. Un’esperienza di apprendimento concreta che valorizza la sostenibilità nel settore turistico e gastronomico.

🇲🇹📢 Open Day Malta of the FUTURE project: a success of sustainability and collaboration! 🌍👩‍🍳

On March 12, the Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade organized the final Open Day of the in-person course in Malta, a special moment to share the results of the Future - Fostering Sustainable Tourism new Employees.

The event, enthusiastically hosted by St Edward's College, Malta, saw the students as protagonists in the presentation of the e-book of sustainable recipes, developed in collaboration with the Istituto Alberghiero "R. Virtuoso" - Salerno. A real journey between tradition and innovation, with recipes that promote the use of zero-mile ingredients and the reduction of food waste.

During the day, the students had the opportunity to serve some dishes contained in the e-book, demonstrating the skills acquired during the course. A concrete learning experience that enhances sustainability in the tourism and food sector.

🇬🇧 Show Cooking & Sustainable Tourism at Istituto R. Virtuoso!👨‍🍳

On January 22, the Istituto Alberghiero "R. Virtuoso" - Salerno brought sustainable cuisine to life with an incredible show cooking event as part of the Erasmus+ Future - Fostering Sustainable Tourism new Employees project!

👨‍🍳 Hands-on Learning in the Kitchen
Students demonstrated their culinary skills by preparing traditional and sustainable recipes, embracing the principles of zero waste, local ingredients, and responsible food consumption. From selecting fresh, km0 products to applying techniques that reduce food waste, they showcased a true commitment to sustainable gastronomy.

📚 Theory Meets Practice
Beyond the kitchen, students engaged in in-depth classroom discussions, analyzing the impact of food choices on tourism and the environment. These theoretical sessions helped bridge the gap between knowledge and real-world application, reinforcing the importance of sustainability in the hospitality industry.

Lo scorso 22 gennaio, l’ Istituto Alberghiero "R. Virtuoso" - Salerno ha dato vita alla cucina sostenibile con un eccezionale show cooking, realizzato nell’ambito del progetto Erasmus+ Future - Fostering Sustainable Tourism new Employees!

👨‍🍳 Apprendimento Pratico in Cucina
Gli studenti si sono messi alla prova nella preparazione di ricette tradizionali e sostenibili, applicando i principi dello spreco zero, dell’uso di ingredienti locali e di un consumo più consapevole delle risorse. Dalla selezione di prodotti freschi a km0 fino all’uso di tecniche per ridurre gli sprechi, hanno dimostrato un vero impegno nella gastronomia sostenibile.

📚 La Teoria Incontra la Pratica
Oltre alle attività in cucina, gli studenti hanno partecipato a sessioni di approfondimento in aula, analizzando l’impatto delle scelte alimentari sul turismo e sull’ambiente. Questi momenti teorici hanno permesso di collegare conoscenze e applicazioni pratiche, rafforzando l’importanza della sostenibilità nel settore dell’ospitalità.

🌍 The Sustainable Tourism Course in Malta Has Successfully Concluded!

On February 13, we officially wrapped up our Sustainable Tourism course, part of the Erasmus+ FUTURE - Fostering Sustainable Tourism for New Employees project organized by the partner Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade!

Throughout the program, participants explored strategies for more responsible tourism, focusing on sustainability, resource-conscious practices, and the environmental impact of tourism activities. 🌱

We celebrated their commitment with the delivery of participation certificates, recognizing their hard work and newly acquired skills. A special thank you to all students, lecturers, and the St Edward's College, Malta for making this training program an enriching and innovative experience.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Transnational Meeting TM4 for the Future - Fostering Sustainable Tourism new Employees project at the Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade headquarters in .

It was an enriching day of discussions and collaboration with our project partners, focusing on:

- Progress updates on the courses in Italy and Malta.
- Planning future activities, including student modules and promotional materials.
- Developing sustainable recipes and sharing preliminary results.
- Dissemination strategies, including the final conference in Naples scheduled for April 2025.

🌍 Sustainable Tourism in Action: The Malta Course Continues!
🇬🇧 We’re happy to share that the course in , part of the Erasmus+ FUTURE project, is progressing with great enthusiasm! 🎉

The students have now started creating their first sustainable recipes inspired by Maltese culinary traditions. This hands-on activity combines creativity with an eco-conscious mindset, focusing on minimizing waste and maximizing flavor. Choosing sustainable food is a key step toward a better future.

This includes:
- Zero waste practices, using every part of the ingredients.
- Selecting local and seasonal ingredients to support the local economy and reduce carbon emissions.
- Prioritizing low-emission and organic products that respect the environment.

We’re proud to see these young professionals embrace sustainability, both in theory and in practice, as they design recipes that honor Malta's rich culture while promoting a greener planet.
