⛵️ Part 3 - Tiny Cottage Ephraim, WI ⛵️
The original stone fireplace was pinnacle in Tony’s living room. Refinishing the hardwood floors, insulating the walls, lofting the ceiling and freshly painting the whole home only complimented the Destination Door County stones rather than distracting. A good team of builders helped bring Tiny to modern standards but her heart, that stone fireplace, has not been altered. We love her! Kirsten Healey ❤️

A tiny but fierce bathroom with views to a serene landscape where there is often a lone deer nibbling fruit off a heritage apple tree. Thanks so much to my lovely and trusting client Kirsten Healey and a team of local Destination Door County builders, finishers, plumbers and electricians!! Kevin Kelly 🔨🙏🏼

Cheekily referred to as Tiny, this 506 SF clapboard cabin built in 1912 sits on a small rise on the north side of Ephraim, WI. Infested with mice, carpenter ants, and strange floor, ceiling and wall coverings, my client wanted to pay homage to her beloved mom and Ephraim ancestor who loved this little place. I hope we did her justice! Thank you Kirsten Healey for your trust in not only my design process but also my “general contracting” this sweet little place both locally and from afar. Beautiful wormy maple floors were uncovered, and sturdy new vinyl windows were installed. The little cottage is climate controlled with a mini split and has all new wall supply and electrical lines. Local builders became future colleagues and neighbors became friends during this ride 💜💜💜

An eDesign comes to life for a sweet family who needed to spruce up a bathroom without altering the location of rough in plumbing or removing the original vintage periwinkle blue and golden rod yellow floor tiles with a glossy black border. I happily accepted the challenge of coordinating the vintage tiles with a new vanity, lighting and plumbing fixtures, colorways and textiles, and matching new shower tile. We started with an eDesign process that included a phone call, transfer of important measurements, a discussion around style and aesthetics and client needs. The result is a bathroom design that was sourced using both local and online vendors and the excellent workmanship from Jason Gaines Construction Thank you to my clients for their trust and collaboration 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Pottery Barn Signature Hardware Kohler Daltile Lulu and Georgia Juno Lighting Schoolhouse Wayfair Benjamin Moore thanks to my friends at Daltile Portland for help matching up the old with the new ☺️☺️
