Zigma was pleased to welcome Shri Gagandeep Singh Bedi, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to the Government of Tamil Nadu for the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department (MAWS), during his visit to the Kodungaiyur Biomining Project in Chennai on 20 June 2026.

During the site visit, he reviewed the ongoing biomining activities and the scientific processes being implemented for the remediation of legacy waste at the Kodungaiyur dumpsite.

Appreciating the project’s progress, he encouraged the team with the words, “Keep on continuing speedily. Best wishes.”

His visit and encouraging remarks motivated the project team to maintain its momentum and continue the work with greater dedication and efficiency.

Zigma was honoured to host Thiru. Veer Pratap Singh, I.A.S., Commissioner, Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation, during his visit to the Tiruchirappalli Phase 3 Bio Remediation Project on 05 June 2026.

During the site visit, the Commissioner reviewed the project area and received an overview of the ongoing scientific bio-remediation activities being carried out to address accumulated legacy waste.

The visit provided an opportunity to highlight the project objectives, implementation approach, and the role of scientific bio-remediation in reducing the legacy waste footprint, enabling resource recovery, and supporting sustainable land reclamation.

Zigma was pleased to welcome the team of Urban Local Bodies from Meghalaya during their visit to the BSF Plant at Brahmapuram, Kochi, on 04 June 2026.

During the visit, the team reviewed the ongoing organic waste processing operations at the BSF Plant. The visit highlighted the role of Black Soldier Fly larvae-based technology in scientifically processing biodegradable waste and converting it into valuable resources such as protein-rich larvae and nutrient-rich organic manure.

The visit also provided an opportunity to understand the importance of decentralized and sustainable organic waste management solutions in reducing landfill dependency, promoting resource recovery, and supporting circular economy-driven waste management practices.

Zigma was pleased to share its expertise at the International Workshop on Landfill Mining of Legacy Waste, held on 22 May 2026 at IIT Bhubaneswar.

Mr. Dhanjit Das, General Manager – Business Development, Zigma Global Environ Solutions Pvt. Ltd., presented “A Successful Case Study of a Full-Scale Biomining Project at an Indian Dumpsite,” highlighting Zigma’s experience from the Perungudi Dumpsite Biomining Project in Chennai, undertaken for the Greater Chennai Corporation, Tamil Nadu.

The presentation focused on the application of scientific biomining for large-scale legacy waste remediation, resource recovery, and sustainable landfill management. Drawing from practical project experience, the session showcased how engineered biomining approaches can support land reclamation and circular economy outcomes in urban waste management.

Through such knowledge-sharing platforms, Zigma continues to advance scientific, scalable, and sustainable solutions for landfill mining and legacy waste management in India.
