Making textile sustainability simple, accessible and traceable.
At Mumbai's Mega Post-Consumer Textile Waste Collection & Upcycling Initiative, Ms. Vrunda Desai, Textile Commissioner, Government of India, highlighted how technology can play a key role in driving sustainable textile practices.
She spoke about how the ReFiber app makes it easy for citizens to schedule pickups, participate in responsible textile disposal and contribute to a circular economy with just a few clicks.
Through ReFiber powered by OterRi, every textile is digitally tracked, ensuring traceability throughout its journey from collection and assessment to recovery, reuse and upcycling. This transparency helps create accountability while enabling users to understand the impact of their contribution.
A simple pickup today can help create a more sustainable future for textiles tomorrow.
