This one is for 'Otsuka Chemicals Pvt Ltd'. A Japanese company that manufactures pharmaceutical chemicals. Our first installation for a petroleum coke (petcoke) fired boiler. Pet coke is a carbonaceous solid derived from oil refinery, coker units or other cracking processes and is an alternative to coal. Petcoke has a higher calorific value and is available much cheaper than coal. However, there are stringent regulations governing the use of Petcoke as it contains 7-9% sulphur. In such conditions a steel chimney may last for 500 days or less.

Its time ECPL had its own production facility in Ahmedabad. We have been here for quiet a while and installed a dozen chimneys. Its been a tough journey until now. Taking that extra bit of risk now is worth it.
